July 22nd Meeting - Campaign Technology Training for Grassroots candidates and clubs

Wave is a free - forever accounting program for small businesses and political campaigns.

Wave is more powerful than paid services like Quickbooks and is a leading campaign management tool in many respects.

On July 22nd, we will have a Christian Campaigning 101 training on the Wave Accounting System and how it is used by small businesses, political Clubs, County Parties, and PACs to handle their finances. Wave Accounting is a free accounting system with very powerful features - it is straightforward to set up and start. We will also discuss APLOS Accounting and Marketing for larger organizations.

By the end of the session, you will know how to set up the finance for your club or for a political campaign.

We will discuss how medium to large organizations and County Central Committees are using APLOS for their finances and marketing.

Clubs and campaigns using tools such as Wave or Aplos tend to secure more significant donations because donors feel assured that they are giving to a professionally run organization. This training will help prepare you to become a Club, PAC, or Campaign treasurer.

During this meeting, we will discuss:

• How Zeffy.com is helping non-profits to raise funds online successfully.

• Successful fundraising strategies for Clubs, County Parties, and how to get and obtain donor leads and their contact information.

• The differences between 501(c)3s, 501(c)4s, 501(c)6s, Political Action Committees, and 527 organizations designations by the IRS and the Federal Elections Commission

• Professional web design for beginners with Zyro.com and why it is an excellent tool for candidates, county parties, and clubs.

• The use of Pumble.com to help organize volunteers.

• We will discuss how activists are successfully using Flip.com as a tool to help influence legislators.

• We will discuss building political clout.

Be sure to bring your laptop - as we will be going over step by step how to set Wave up and get you going.

County Central Committee leaders - learn about the advantages of fund accounting and how it is possible for your county party to offer Treasurer services to potential candidates runing for office.

When candidates are getting started - besides finding a campaign manager - finding a treasurer can be very difficult. Removing this hurdle makes it easier to reach potential candidates to run for office.
