I posted the following on various social media platforms several days ago. The question is at the core of “where do we go from here?”
The responses have been very informative and constructive. What are your thoughts?
I found myself re-watching one of our Ohio Political News shows in which Rep Ron Ferguson was a guest. (Rumble: Ohio Political News)
Honest question: is it okay to have FIGHTERS on the Right?
Let's imagine for a moment that we have a Democrat Party (which is now effectively the Communist Party, since all moderates have been run out and silenced) and that the Republican Party stands for something else.
Now that we're using our imagination...
Think of the Will/Fight of AOC, Nancy Pelosi, Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, Ilhan Omar, Adam Schiff, Hakim Jeffries, and others like them. They FIGHT! Relentlessly. They never give up and they never give in. On this, I'm sure we can all agree.
So the question clearly is: is it OK for our side - Conservative, Patriotic, pro-Americans - to have Fight in us as well?
I ask because it seems very often that Conservatives who stand for something and insist upon truth are treated *worse* than far-Left, anti-American people who seek to dismantle the Judeo-Christian West.
This continues to mystify me.
As some advocate for Children, against porn, for religious freedom, pro-life, medical/bodily autonomy, against trafficking, for smaller government, for small business, against monopolies, and expose corruption... many on the Right seek to shush us.
If I understand the supposed argument correctly, we're supposed to long for such things but mustn't act, because that's "rude".
One-on-one and in very small groups, Conservatives say that they're very concerned about the direction our country is headed, but the general *action/reaction* from the Right is weak, tepid fear, and mute silence. Baffling.
A few years ago I began asking the question: “If we live in a 2-party system, shouldn’t we have at least 2 parties?” The false notion that “Republican” and “Democrat” are dueling each other with conflicting vision for the direction of our great nation is clearly fantasy. The reality is Uni-party, with no opposition to anything, no matter how harmful. Open borders, child trafficking, pornography in schools, last-place education systems, high taxes, mandated medical experiments, funding foreign wars and foreign borders, closing small business, expanding/arming IRS agents, and the list goes on… if both “Democrat” and “Republican” lead to the same place, that’s not a “2-party system.” And if people who question this such things are vilified, then We The People clearly don’t have enough FIGHTERS.
Open discussion.
If anyone can help me understand this, I'd really appreciate it. I can't get my head around it.
Yes, we have the Right to Fight. While there are some on the Right who Fight, they seem to get drowned out. We need to get louder. Some think Jan 6th was a setup by the left and there certainly are signs that was the case - with that said, I think, in part, it was done to scare us... to be afraid of going to prison even for a simple protest - not saying Jan 6th was a "simple protect". I was active in the Tea Party movement, but unfortunately, it has all but died out - we need to revive it or something like it and get LOAD and PROUD!
I think our government has been corrupted at the top (DOJ) and we have a sense that too much advocacy for "right" causes could land us in trouble. Example: Moms speaking at school board meetings being labeled as terrorists.
I remember when I worked at P&G, a co-worker from Caracas, Venezuela came into the Cincinnati office for a meeting. It was during the Hugo Chavez reign. While she and I were walking together to the cafeteria at lunch time, I asked, "So, how are things in Venezuela?" She literally flinched. She took a quick glance over each shoulder, looked at the ground and softly said "Things are not good there". End of discussion. She was terrified someone would overhear and report her.
That's where we are headed if we don't keep speaking up as a huge group.
