The Ohio Republican Chairman is Destroying the Credibility of the Party.
February 18th Meeting of the State Central Committee is expected to endorse Governor DeWine despite low polling numbers.
Chairman Paduchik has been able to twist the arms of enough out-of-touch State Central Committee members - added to the appointees of Mike DeWine on the Ohio State Central Committee - to get the votes he needs to endorse Mike DeWine. Tomorrow, all the hard work of political deal making will come to fruition for the swamp. Getting Mike DeWine and Jane Timken through the primary is what the job was when he was hired. We believe that they have the 36 votes needed. 28 appointees and lobbyists and 8 members that he has been able to intimidate or promise appointments to get the votes.
This is the full power of the special interests that own the Ohio Republican Party on display for all to see. The total disenfranchisement of the Ohio Republican voter will not even be considered because the special interests don’t care if they destroy the Ohio Republican Party.
There is no passion for the Ohio Republican because the party does not represent Ohio Republicans - that will be written in stone with the casting of the vote to endorse Mike DeWine and Jane Timken at tomorrow’s meeting.
For many, the casting of this vote will be Ohio’s watershed moment. Tomorrow is when it will be apparent to everyone but the most naive’ of Ohio Republicans that they do not control their own party.
There is a watch party being thrown to bring light to the new monarchy being installed tomorrow. It starts at 9am and the room seats 100. (The State Central Committee has broken their own bylaws and will not let the public attend this historic power grab.)
The event is being sponsored by Mark Pukita and John Adams. (This is not an endorsement for their candidacy - Ohio Promise Keepers does not endorse candidates we inform of those that will make pledges to realize a better Ohio)
The event:
Starts at 9am
Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center (100 Green Meadows Dr. S, Lewis Center, OH 43035) the room number is yet to be determined (ask for the protest event)
IN OTHER NEWS
Brian Williams the Vice Chair of the Ohio Republican Party - who has his own share of problems - is officially blocking the Secretary of State nomination tomorrow. The Swamp is infighting. Will Brian Williams now be demonized by the Chairman? He is a DeWine appointee and a lobbyist and as such, is not making an effort to block Mike DeWine.
The optics, no matter right or wrong are spectacularly petty. In April of last year, the Ohio Supreme Court found that LaRose illegally removed Bryan Willams from his paid position on the Summit County Board of Elections.
We really have to look at where the loyalties lie…
Williams gave his reasons with incredible detail.
“LaRose illegally ordered boards of elections to cancel the March 3, 2020 primary election. Already prohibited by Ohio’s Constitution, our Republican legislature doubled down and outlawed the cancellation of elections by the Secretary of State in the Ohio Revised Code.”
“LaRose took $1.3 million from Mark Zuckerberg’s Democrat ‘Get Out the Vote’ fund and encouraged county boards of election to do the same. At least 43 did. Our Republican legislature has since outlawed this practice.”
“LaRose supported the installation of ‘unmanned’ countywide absentee voter drop boxes, which are a proven tool for Democrat ballot harvesting. (Our Republican legislature outlawed this plan.)”
LaRose attempted to use public funds to pay for return absentee ballot postage. (Our Republican legislature blocked him from doing so.)
“LaRose wanted to mail every registered voter an absentee ballot, including hundreds of thousands on the voter rolls who no longer reside at the addresses in the voter registration system. (Our Republican legislature outlawed the plan.)”
“LaRose’s judgment is so misguided our Republican legislature passed a law barring him from entering legal settlement agreements on election-related lawsuits without prior approval of the legislature (HB 110.)”
“LaRose was a board member of a kids’ voting organization created by liberal activists which promoted ‘Critical Race Theory.’ He abruptly resigned last year once his membership was publicized.”
“LaRose continues to oppose a state-issued, citizen-only photo identification requirement for voting. (Public polling consistently shows bi-partisan majority support, including a supermajority of Republicans.)”
“LaRose used his office to settle a political score. (Our Ohio Supreme Court unanimously overruled LaRose, holding that he had abused the discretion of his office.)”
“Six times the Republican legislative majority, along with Governor DeWine, passed legislation to stop Frank LaRose.”
I must say I can agree with Williams on these points
The problem I have is the obvious double standard. Mike DeWine is clearly guilty of more and more egregious actions and yet Williams is expected to endorse DeWine at tomorrow’s meeting. This really demonstrates where loyalties lie
Remember to visit Ohio Promise Keepers to be kept up to date on the Reform efforts to make the Ohio Republican Party more ethical, transparent, and engaging.
And, if DeWine and Timken win the primaries, Ohio Republicans will be in a difficult position in November. Either vote for a RINO or a Democrat (an insignificant difference). They are banking on us voting RINO (yet again).
