Those that "CAN'T" - make up lies and smears to marginalize those that "CAN"
Isn't it time to bring back integrity to the Ohio Republican Party?
It is not unreasonable for conservatives that are for limited government, rugged individualism, personal responsibility, and free markets to want some transparency from a Republican Party that claims to be one of the most successful in the nation.
The Chairman of the Ohio Republican Party, rather than trying to expand party membership to include real small government conservatives is devising a narrative of division and condescension toward limited government advocates. The hypocrisy of the “big tent” party of Reagan is that there is no longer any room for those that believe that under Republican leadership - Ohioans are paying far too much in taxes compared to states like Florida and Texas. - That Ohioans are are dealing with fundamental Democrat led urban/social problems (under the watchful eye of Republicans) that are destroying the soul of the state. - That too much in dealing with opioids, human trafficking, and major cities marred by rising crime, unemployment, and such anemic growth that Ohio has been referred to as the “sloth” economy.
WHAT GOOD ARE REPUBLICAN WINS IF THE STATE IS LOSING!
If you are willing to give the ORP leadership team “the benefit of doubt” then you are either naive or comfortable running a fools errand. It is time to be real and call it how it is. Chairman Paduchik who has built an aire of inevitability about himself is working hard to achieve an even more big-government embrace by the Republican Party RATHER THAN EMBRACE LIMITED GOVERNMENT PROSPERITY INITIATIVES.
YOU CAN PICK THE RED PILL OR THE BLUE PILL - CHOOSE WISELY
There are only three scenarios under which a successful political machine is built.
Build widespread passion for the the party by passing conservative policies into law that provide prosperity. This means defining what the party stands for and setting and accomplishing goals for the party. This necessarily means adopting a State-based platform of policies and conveying a vision for Ohio. This type of activity begets a tremendous amount of very small donations to the party by registered Republicans.
Cater to special interests and largely ignore registered Republicans. Never place the party in a position where it can be held accountable for not implementing conservative policies.
A balancing act of the first two scenarios. Pass just enough conservative policies into law - to stymie any revolt by Republicans and cater as much as possible to the special interests to fund the party.
All one has to do is look at the percentage of donations by dollar amount that exceed $500 to the party and compare that to the dollar amount that is made in less than $500 increments. The percentage of large donations are way too high compared to small donations. The party is a reflection of big government special interests and is not a reflection of the will of Ohio’s registered Republicans.
Anyone can sell the party to the highest bidder - it is quite a different task to actually build passion for the party.
MARKETING PEOPLE VERSUS PRODUCT PEOPLE - we need to build passion for our product.
It is hard to get people to watch a video more than one minute long….BUT PLEASE WATCH THIS LESS THAN 3 MINUTE VIDEO. Then investigate for yourself. The Ohio Republican Party has for years portrayed itself as a “marketing organization that wins elections” - they will absolutely tell you that “they do not control the quality of the product.” They don’t care about the product (CANDIDATES) - they just market it. That is what the problem is. Not only do they not care about the product - and gleefully watch Ohio going to hell in a hand basket - they are not willing to let anyone try anything different. They will fight change tooth and nail. They are the toner heads.
Just as Xerox was successful in its day - it did not have a vision for products. Xerox could have been far more successful than what it was. The Ohio Republican Party does not have a vision to move conservative policies into reality - the party does not have a vision to measure the performance of its candidates - its success is limited by its lack of vision.
THE ORP HAS A MONOPOLY ON THE GOVERNANCE OF OHIO and the party is not asking “how can we make Ohio more successful?”
Bob Bennet, Kevin DeWine, Matt Borges, Jane Timken, Bob Paduchik are the Xerox “toner heads” that cannot see how successful Ohio can be and how much more successful a substantive party can be. They are relegated in only being able to tweak a marketing company rather than create a new winning product that makes everyone’s life better. State Central Committee members do not take their role in shaping the future of Ohio seriously. As long as Republicans are content with their party just winning elections - but not having a vibrant, growing, and thriving state - Ohio will continue to suffer.
DELUSIONS
The ORP chairman, that has no accounting background, has asked us all to participate in a delusion. When a reputable CPA auditor of 40 years stepped forward to help get the ORP’s books in order - rather than working with him and taking advice and recommendations - they chose to demonize and marginalize the experienced auditor. Then, when others on the State Central Committee raised the same questions - they were overtly retaliated against. The chairman unilaterally removed them all from their committee assignments where they had the possibility of implementing change.
The chairman has went on to lie and mischaracterize the Committee for a Better Ohio which is a conservative grassroots organization BASED IN OHIO. A 501(c)4 organization like many other non-profits he has labeled as an evil and dark money organization that is championing ethical behavior, transparency, and restoring integrity to the party. When you have no credibility or substance like the chairman - you start slinging mud and the chairman loves to sling mud. The chairman does not have a leg to stand on in his wild accusations and ludicrous claims. The chairman’s actions of retribution and failing to provide for an honest process to audit the committee’s books has done more to harm the party than anything the Committee for a Better Ohio could ever do.
Now (at the December 3rd meeting) the chairman has insinuated that he did not remove everyone from their committee assignments for retribution. He made that statement to Shannon Burns and to Doris Peters. Does anyone believe this liar? While there is not a limit of the number of the people on a committee - he is now claiming he removed people from those committees because other newer members wanted to be on those committees. If you are naive enough to believe that the chairman is telling you the truth - I have ocean front property in Arizona to sell you. He is also expecting us to believe that he is not using party resources to search for and run candidates against the “malcontents” that dare question his wisdom or authority. This is what tyranny looks like folks.
IF YOU WANT CHANGE
GET OUT TO THE JANUARY 7TH EVENT FOR OHIO’S PROMISE KEEPERS.
Let’s support those that have a vision - to make - not only the party more successful - but the state as well. Let’s revive the party and be passionate about our products (candidates and conservative policies). Let’s bring some comfort and reassurance back to the party by providing an atmosphere of opportunity where everyone can thrive, where jobs are plentiful, and where wages are great. Let’s not give in to the Federal government on every whim and elect fighters that will fight for Ohioans and their values. Let’s restore personal responsibility, common courtesy, civil debate, and give each Ohioan the tools they need to be successful. Let’s not act foolishly and become even more dependent upon the Federal government. Ohio has bountiful resources, families willing to work, and the wisdom and know how to dominate world markets.
IF YOU WANT TO PRESERVE THE SWAMP AND STAY ON THE COURSE THAT HAS BEEN CHARTED - THEN DON’T HELP, GIVE IN TO FRUSTRATION, AND STAY AT HOME AS THE WORLD IMPLODES. HOWEVER IF YOU WANT A NEW DIRECTION, A NEW COURSE, AND WANT TO BREATHE LIFE INTO THE PARTY - PLEASE ATTEND THE JANUARY 7TH EVENT.
