Stand for Something…or be Part of the Problem
Uncompromising principles do not make you “difficult” - they make you smart!
A toxically masculine post about Ohio’s growing conservative movement among its women.
My fellow Americans, maintaining credibility and passion for the Republican Party is vital to our continued success as a nation. We must never compromise on the core values that define us as Republicans. And make no mistake, we must convey to the public both, what we believe, and what we have set out to accomplish. We are supposed to be a party that believes in limited government, individual liberty, and personal responsibility. These values have been central to our success in the past, and they remain just as important today. As evil has again reared its ugly head and our schools have become less about education and more about indoctrination….well we must expand and clarify where we stand for increasingly confused generations and for a party that has lost its way.
Compromising on our shared Christian values weakens our party and leaves us vulnerable to criticism and hypocrisy from those who do not share our beliefs. We cannot please everyone, nor should we try. Instead, we must remain steadfast in our commitment to our principles and deliver results that reflect Christian values and maximize freedom.
We must create a platform that all Republicans can be proud of at the national level, at the State level, and at the County, Municipal, and School Board levels. To do this…we necessarily need to define what a Republican is. Just like we know what the definition of a boy and a girl is - we must not allow the mental gymnastics the enter the argument required to confuse the two. When you cannot tell the difference between the policies of a Republican from a Democrat then we truly are, sliding back into the swamp.
We must remain the fiscally conservative and morally Christian party. That is our brand and we must be proud of it and we must be uncompromising .We must focus on cutting wasteful spending, reducing the size of government, and promoting policies that encourage personal responsibility and self-sufficiency. We must prioritize policies that support families, protect the sanctity of life, and defend religious freedom. Why must we be all these things and have such a rigid resolve? Because the enemies of freedom are relentless in supplanting Christian values with Community values in the war they wage upon God, women, and children.
Our party's passion can be fueled by our unwavering commitment to our values. We must be clear and uncompromising about those values, creating a sense of urgency and purpose that inspires people to get involved and support our cause. We must also hold our candidates accountable and give them clear direction about the policies we want them to support or oppose. Failure to acclimate the platform is our duty to vacate the candidate - we won’t support the candidate (Even if they are Republican) that doesn’t uphold our platform or values. This does not mean we are disloyal Republicans - this means we have the intelligence to see when the candidate and party leadership is being disloyal to us.
My friends, we must never forget that our country was founded on the principles of freedom and opportunity. We must never lose sight of those principles, nor of our duty to preserve them for future generations. By staying true to our shared Christian values, we can create a party that all Americans can be proud of regardless of their religion and that delivers results that reflect the best of our values.
I never subscribed and I certainly never would have subscribed to this crap.
