We knew back in 2021 that something was amiss with the Ohio State Teachers Retirement System. Unfortunately, the bad actors are contributors to Governor DeWine, Jon Husted, and to Jason Stephens.
What’s amazing as these red flags have existed for a long, long time! Amazing the state makes sure local governments do their audits, yet these retirement systems get a pass with billions at stake!!! Heads need to roll at STRS and anyone who looked the other way! STRS was doing things entirely different than the other retirement systems, plus they were doing their own investment strategies that shouldn’t have been allowed!!! The same goes for the enormous salaries and manipulating the data tfor getting their bonuses!
Cannot agree with you more Joni. Many of the people involved with STRS are just political appointees that do not have the requisite knowledge to be an administrator of such a large fund. Worse yet - these people are surrounded by establishment types that sound smart but are truly some of the dumbest people a person could ever meet. They are good at faking it until they make it.
